Transportation across the Great Belt

Do you need to transport a non-standard bicycle across the Great Belt? While it might pose some challenges, there are solutions available. Standard bicycles are permitted on DSB trains but don't forget to purchase a bike seat ticket.

Transporting larger or unusual bicycles can be a challenge. Therefore, we recommend contacting Fri BikeShop in Nyborg. They have extensive experience with bicycles and may be able to help you with transportation across the Great Belt Bridge.

Suppose you need to cross the waterway between Zealand and Funen with a tandem bicycle or larger bicycles such as cargo bikes, utility bikes, Christiania bikes, tricycles, or other non-standard bikes or vehicles that DSB cannot handle in the near future. In that case, there is help to be found.

Standard bicycles are welcome on DSB trains, as long as there are available spots left. Remember to purchase a bicycle seat ticket in the DSB app, at ticket machines, or at 7-Eleven at the stations.

Contact Fri BikeShop Nyborg well in advance to inquire about your options. They will do their best to help you to the extent possible, and if it fits into the shop's daily routine.
