Nyborg Castle is one of Denmark's most important historical sites from the Middle Ages. In order to preserve and convey the unique history associated with Nyborg Castle and town, Nyborg Castle is undergoing restoration, it is therefore not possible to enter the castle itself.
Even though the castle is closed, it is still beautiful and sits in the middle of Nyborg. Therefore, we still recommend that you go on a castle walk at Nyborg Castle.
The castle walk takes approx. one hour and participation is free. Registration is not necessary (be aware that you can be rejected due to assembly size, if there are more than allowed). The tour starts at Borgmestergården.
NOTE: The trip is not suitable for people with poor mobility, as it takes place on the castle ramparts and steep hills.
